Areas of Specialism: Paintings and Works on Paper
Chantal de Prez is an Associate Specialist in the Fine Art department. She supports all the department's auctions assisting with cataloguing, condition reporting, research and article-writing, and is first-point-of-contact for all departmental enquiries. Chantal is also head of sale for The Art Edit auctions.
Chantal studied History of Art at the universities of Edinburgh and Oxford, where she specialised in painting around the late medieval and early Renaissance Mediterranean. She then worked for several public arts institutions, and subsequently moved to The Scottish Gallery where she was secondary lead on the Fine Art exhibition programme. Chantal joined Lyon & Turnbull in 2021, and would be delighted to discuss any paintings consignment enquiries.
