Carly is our Head of Prints & Multiples, as well as acting as a senior specialist and auctioneer in all areas of our Fine Art department.
She joined Lyon & Turnbull in 2014 and since then has worked across the Fine Art department, developing her expertise through cataloguing artworks but also writing and researching for catalogue essays, giving talks and developing event ideas to accompany our auction and exhibition programme.
She now heads up our Prints & Multiples department, developing Lyon & Turnbull’s offering in this dynamic area of the market. Carly has previously acted up as Head of Contemporary Art, covering maternity leaves in 2019-2020 and 2022-2023. She particularly enjoys acting as an auctioneer across our auction calendar.
Before discovering the buzz of the auction world, Carly studied History of Art and English Literature at the University of Edinburgh, graduating in 2012. Always passionate about visual arts, Carly spent fifteen months in the Education team at the National Galleries of Scotland, working on the talks and events programme for adults. She has also worked in various Edinburgh-based contemporary arts organisations, including Collective and Inverleith House.
