Andrew Robb joined the Lyon & Turnbull team as Head of Valuations, London in 2024. He holds a degree in Scottish and Medieval History from the University of Glasgow, as well as a postgraduate qualification from the Christie’s Decorative Arts Programme at the same university.
Andrew brings over twenty-four years of experience to his role. He began his career at Bonhams, working in the Edinburgh saleroom before spending eleven years as a general valuer in their Glasgow office. He later joined the New Bond Street Valuations Department in London, where he served for 10 years rising to become Director of Valuations.
Throughout his career, Andrew has been involved in numerous significant projects, including sourcing and selling a rare 13th-century Islamic bronze royal tent pole, Admiral Nelson’s favourite armchair from HMS Victory (gifted to him by Emma Hamilton), The Michael Caine Collection (achieving several world records), and The Hilary Gerrard Collection of first editions and Beatles-related memorabilia.
Andrew works closely with private clients and collections, as well as extensively collaborating with lawyers, art advisors, and insurance brokers.
