Today, our Furniture Department holds four specialist Five Centuries auctions each year at our Edinburgh saleroom and online. Our specialists combine extensive knowledge of antique furniture with an understanding of the current market, enabling them to identify, value and sell pieces spanning five centuries of design. These range from 16th-century oak furniture to exceptional walnut, mahogany and satinwood pieces from the Georgian, Regency and Victorian periods.

The furniture section of our Five Centuries auctions showcases fine cabinetmaking, including works by leading makers and workshops of the 18th and 19th centuries.
