Footnote
Note: The small notebook seems to have belonged to a William Graham. It contains coded text, divided into four sections: 1) a selection of slightly risqué poetry; 2) various financial accounts, some appearing to be imaginary; 3) a two-page inventory of books and pamphlets; 4) 11 pages of manuscript prose. Other users have also added to the book, in plain English handwriting.
