Footnote
Note: This cabinet was brought from Germany during the Second World War by the present owner's Jewish grandfather. A physicist who had once studied under Albert Einstein, he came to Britain to work for the secret service but was eventually placed in an internment camp on the Isle of Man. After the war he moved to Newcastle where he worked at the University. The cabinet was left to the present owner by his widow upon her death in 1998.
