Katie Lees is a Glasgow-born contemporary fine jeweller and silversmith known for crafting heirloom-quality pieces with a striking, timeless edge.
Katie studied Jewellery and Silversmithing at the distinguished Glasgow School of Art, earning her BA (Hons) in 2009. Following graduation, she was appointed to a residency at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design in Dundee, a platform that helped hone her refined technique.
Her signature aesthetic is inspired by the industrial beauty of Glasgow, particularly its shipbuilding legacy. Katie extracts essence from utilitarian forms like rusted steel and dock structures, transforming them into elegant, tactile jewellery using silver and semi-precious stones. She is especially skilled in age-old techniques like pavé and micro claw settings, grounding her lavish style in craftsmanship and precision.
Based in Glasgow, Katie's workshop and showroom provide an inviting space where clients can observe the jewellery-making process and engage directly in bespoke consultations
