Our regular London Jewellery Valuation Days offers a discreet opportunity to consult with our specialists, whether you are considering selling at auction, or simply wish to better understand the history and value of your pieces.

Appointments are complimentary and offered with no obligation to sell.

During your appointment, our Head of Jewellery, Sarah Duncan, will:

Examine your jewellery in person
Discuss age, materials, craftsmanship and provenance
Provide an informed market appraisal grounded in current demand
Advise on next steps, including private sale, or auction if appropriate

Should you not be able to make one of our valuation days, you can also request a valuation online to submit photos and details.

Jewellery Valuation Appointments: Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Appointments are allocated in advance and must be booked ahead of the valuation day. This allows our specialists to give each client the appropriate time and attention.

No. Appointments are complimentary and offered with no obligation.

Our specialists can advise on a wide range of jewellery, including antique and modern pieces, signed jewellery, diamonds, coloured gemstones, and inherited or estate jewellery. If you are unsure whether your pieces are suitable, please include a brief description when requesting an appointment.

Appointments typically last around 20–30 minutes, depending on the number and nature of the items being discussed.

During your consultation, our specialist will examine your jewellery and discuss age, materials, craftsmanship, condition and current market context. This is an informal, verbal valuation intended to guide next steps.

Written valuations for insurance or probate purposes can be arranged separately if required. Our specialist will advise you on this during your appointment.

No. The consultation is offered with no obligation to sell. Our role is to provide informed advice, whether or not you decide to proceed further.

If appropriate, our specialists can explain the different options available, including auction or private sale, and advise on likely timing and process.

Please bring the jewellery you wish to discuss. Any existing documentation, such as previous valuations, receipts or certificates, can be helpful but is not essential.
