Lyon & Turnbull’s Prints department in London presents specialist auctions spanning six centuries of printmaking.
Launching in October 2026, our biannual standalone sales will bring together works by some of the greatest printmakers, from the masters of the Renaissance to leading artists of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.
The sales offer collectors an opportunity to be part of a thriving international market that continues to evolve while remaining rooted in the traditions of printmaking established with the earliest printed images produced in Western art during the fifteenth century.
Celebrating printmaking in all its forms, our auctions encompass the finely worked etchings, engravings, and woodcuts of the Old Masters alongside the bold linoleum cuts, lithographs, and screenprints of the Modern and Contemporary eras. Embracing the full artistry and innovation of the medium, from rare master prints to contemporary editions, the department offers curated sales that appeal to both first-time buyers and established collectors.
Lyon & Turnbull has a strong history of handling prints and works on paper by major British and international artists including Rembrandt Harmensz. van Rijn, Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, David Hockney, Howard Hodgkin, Sybil Andrews, Bridget Riley, Damien Hirst and Banksy, presenting them to a global audience through specialist expertise and strategic marketing designed to achieve the strongest results. Whether offering a single work or an extensive collection, our specialist team provides expert advice on valuation, sale, and collection management.
