Description
cream silk backed with linen, comprising two fronts with pockets and pointed pocket flaps, embroidered with mauve/puce piping, purple patterned edges, and a pattern of flowers and leaves in silk floss, with shades of yellow, white, green, pink, blue and purple on the pocket flaps, below the pockets and along the front edges and hems, with seven remaining worked buttonholes and embroidered buttons, the two fronts cropped with stitched tucks to the collar area, united by later neck and waist ties, likely in the early 20th century
