Historia de gentibus septentrionalibus. Antwerp: Jean Bellère, 1562, small 8vo, fourth Latin edition, woodcut device on title, numerous woodcuts in the text, later sheep, slight wear to blank upper corner of title, a few light stains, slightly wormed in margins affecting a few sidenotes

Note: Fourth Latin edition of the abridged version, made by Cornelius Graphaeus, of Olaus Magnus' history of the Northern People, originally published at Rome in 1555. An important work on Scandanavian folklore and traditions. The woodcuts include depictions of seal and whale hunting, reindeer and monstrous fish. Adams M 144; Sabin 43833
