Duke of Wellington's engraved gentleman's card (7.6 x 11.2cm), 1810s or 1820s?, apologising for not being able to wait on a guest, with name, date, and reason for absence, ‘being seriously engaged’ added in manuscript, guest was Duchess of Cannizzaro [society hostess, Sophia Johnstone Platamone (1785-1841)];

Single sheet (26.8 cx 20.5cm), text in black border, some spotting and tear to bottom right-hand corner repaired with piece of paper;

Single sheet (50.5 x 31.7cm), woodcut illustration of the coffin and funeral car, below which is printed in four columns the order and route of the funeral procession, on the reverse are printed the police orders and regulations to the funeral, some paper residue of previous mounting (in an album?) on verso, with copy of ticket for admittance to the lying in state at Chelsea Hospital pasted on to left-hand margin;
