First London edition (third overall), 8vo (20.5 x 11.6cm), contemporary sheep, rebacked and recornered with new endpapers, engraved portrait frontispiece trimmed and mounted, lacking half-title, leaves B4, G3 with paper repairs, ink ownership inscriptions of Jane Barnes, dated 1839 [Egerer 5; ESTC T91546];
The Second Edition Considerably Enlarged. Edinburgh: printed for T. Cadell, London, and William Creech, Edinburgh, 1793, 2 volumes, 12mo (18.5 x 10.9cm), contemporary calf, rebacked and recornered, smooth spine ruled and decorated in gilt with original red morocco labels (spine for volume 2 has been tooled and label reattached upside down), with half-titles and frontispiece portrait in volume 1 [Egerer 25; ESTC T91542];
