Description
Glasguae [Glasgow]: in aedibus academicis, excudebant Robertus et Andreas Foulis, Academiae Typographi, 1756-[58]. 4 volumes, folio (31.5 x 19.5cm), contemporary calf, spines with raised bands, with gilt fleuron motifs in the compartments and gilt lettered red morocco labels, with two modern cloth covered boxes for both texts, Greek text with Latin dedication, preface and index, half-titles in all volumes but without the rarely-found general title (not issued until 1758), boards worn in places and slight cracking to the joints of two of the volumes, some staining and spotting to the pastedowns and endpapers, but internally very clean [Gaskell 319, ESTC T90244] (4)
