Description
A large collection of music publications with pictorial wrappers (lithographic or photographic), each approx. 35 x 25cm, dating from the 1840s onwards, comprising music hall songs, scores for quadrilles, polkas and other dances, and music by popular artists. Mostly British, many published by Francis, Day & Hunter, J.B Cramer & Co. Ltd. and Charles Sheard & Co., also a quantity of Vaudeville material from the United States and a group of Ragtime publications. Some edges worn, a number with ownership inscriptions and other annotations, a few short taped repairs. Titles include:
