Go on a virtual tour of our September 2026 Five Centuries auction (below) on display in our historic Broughton Place saleroom in Edinburgh.
Spanning the decorative arts from the 16th to the 20th century, this carefully curated sale offers a rich and varied selection of traditional British and European furniture, paintings, clocks, ceramics, sculpture and works of art.
Of particular note in this edition of Five Centuries are an impressive painting of a cricket match between Eton and Winchester, by Henry Jamyn Brooks; a 17th century miniature rock crystal cup and cover with gold and enamel mounts; a handsome bronze figure group by the famed French sculptor Pierre Jules Mêne, ‘Valet le Chasse Louis XV’; and a pair of Georgian style carved pine console tables, originally situated in the Sir Basil Spence designed Gribloch House, Stirlingshire.
Lyon & Turnbull is also happy to present selected contents from the estate of the late Lady Connie Middleton, sold to benefit the Royal College of Music, of which she was an ardent supporter (lots 256 to 279).
