Few jewellery designs are as instantly recognisable as Van Cleef & Arpels’ Alhambra. Since its introduction in 1968, the motif has become synonymous with luck, elegance, and enduring style. Yet within this celebrated collection, certain variations remain particularly rare and especially sought after.
Among them, turquoise examples hold a distinct place. Introduced as part of limited editions in the 1970s, turquoise brought a vivid, luminous quality to the Alhambra design, its natural veining ensuring that no two pieces were ever entirely alike. Production, however, was relatively short-lived, and by the early 2000s this variation had been discontinued.
