Alice Strang Appointed Trustee of the Hugo Burge Foundation

Lyon & Turnbull is pleased to share that Alice Strang has been appointed a Trustee of the Hugo Burge Foundation, alongside Dominic Goold, with both joining the Board to support the charity's continued development.

The appointment reflects a longstanding connection with Hugo Burge, built through collaboration on a number of projects relating to the visual arts. In 2025 we were honoured to hold the Makers & Creators: Selected Works from the Hugo Burge Collection auction, followed by the London exhibition A Collector’s Passion: Modern British Art from the Hugo Burge Foundation Collection in 2026. Hugo was widely recognised not only as an internet entrepreneur, but also as a collector, philanthropist and as an advocate for fine artists and traditional craftsmanship.

The occasion marked not only a celebration of Hugo's legacy, but also the ongoing work of the Foundation to inspire creativity.

Through its programmes and partnerships, the Hugo Burge Foundation champions creativity in all its forms, ensuring that Hugo's belief in the value of art, craft and making remains active and relevant for future generations. We are delighted to continue supporting and championing the Foundation’s work and its ongoing impact.
