No, our auction valuations are completely free of charge. However, should you need a valuation for insurance or inheritance tax purposes, that is chargeable and can be discussed at your appointment.

You can bring a variety of items, including antique jewellery, contemporary pieces, designer collections or loose gemstones.

Yes, you’re welcome to bring multiple items. However, please inform the team during booking so they can allocate sufficient time for your appointment.

Generally initial valuation appointments last around 30 minutes, however when when you contact us to book, we will be able to provide better timescales.

The valuation provided at the event is an informal verbal estimate. If you require a formal written valuation for insurance or legal purposes, the team can guide you on how to arrange this.

If you have any certificates, previous valuations, or receipts for your items, bringing them along can help the valuers provide a more accurate assessment but is by no means necessary.

Our specialist team can advise you on selling your jewellery through Lyon & Turnbull’s auction platform. If you're interested in consigning items, they’ll explain the process.
