As Lyon & Turnbull celebrates 200 years of auction expertise, our specialists invite you to join us for one of our monthly, complimentary Asian Art Valuation Days in Edinburgh.

Our experienced Asian Art team will be available throughout the day to provide free, confidential and no-obligation valuations for Chinese ceramics, Japanese works of art, jade, bronzes, paintings, textiles and other Asian antiques. Drawing on two centuries of market knowledge, our specialists can advise on authenticity, current auction values and the potential for inclusion in a future sale.

Held at our Edinburgh saleroom, this event offers a rare opportunity to meet directly with our experts and discover whether your object could be a future auction highlight.

Valuations at our Asian Art Valuation Day are complimentary and without obligation. Our specialists will provide an informal auction valuation and advice on the potential market for your object.

No. Valuations are purely advisory. If your object is suitable for auction, our specialists may discuss the possibility of consigning it to a future Lyon & Turnbull sale, but there is no obligation to sell.

Our Asian Art specialists can advise on a wide range of objects including Chinese ceramics and porcelain, Japanese prints and paintings, Jade carvings and hardstone objects, Bronze sculptures and ritual vessels, Asian textiles and decorative works of art, Snuff bottles, lacquer and other collectables.

If possible, please bring the object to the valuation day so our specialists can examine it in person. If the item is large or fragile, you may bring clear photographs instead.

Yes. You are welcome to bring multiple items, although we recommend mentioning this when booking your appointment so our specialists can allow sufficient time.

If our specialists believe your object may be suitable for auction, they will explain the next steps for consignment, including estimates, timing and the most appropriate auction in which it could be offered.

If available, please bring any receipts, provenance, previous valuations or documentation relating to the object, as this can help our specialists assess it more accurately.
