Footnote
Kainsaz (Tatar Republic, Russia) CO3.1 (stone) - fell 13th September 1937
Kainsaz is a rare Russian carbonaceous chondrite and a witnessed fall back in 1937. Carbonaceous chondrites represent some of the most primitive of all meteorites and are intensely studied. Many small chondrules and a surprising amount of fine nickel-iron metal flake are visible in cut sections of this rare meteorite.
