Anna Dixon’s pictures are characterised by a fluid painterly quality and a warm, subdued palette. She trained at the Royal Scottish Academy Life School under Edward Arthur Walton, Charles Mackie and William Walls. Dixon often painted on the West of Scotland and in France, especially Concarneau in Brittany. Her favoured subjects were children, crofters, horses and donkeys.
