Held twice a year in the Mall Galleries – next door to the legendary Institute of Contemporary Arts, in the heart of London’s art district – the sales offer an opportunity both to sell and acquire works by some of most celebrated and pioneering artists and makers, from household names – such as Picasso, Moore, Hepworth, Chadwick, Rie, Coper, Eames, Aalto, Jensen, Wegner, Ponti, Fornasetti – to overlooked creators whose work is long due reappraisal, as well as up-and-coming stars deserving of the wider international audience an auction brings.
