the wooden grip covered in black dogfish skin missing its binding wire, the basket of traditional form with the guard of flat section bar terminating at the shallow bun shaped pommel cut with a grove to take the guard, missing wrist guard with the remains of the leather liner, the broad double edged blade with four narrow fuller for three quarters of the blade length stamped with ss blade-smiths mark and with the running wolf motif
