the wooden grip covered in black leather bound with a double twist of wire, the basket of traditional form with the guard of round section bar terminating at the shallow bun shaped pommel with a flat ring designed to take the pommel base, the large wrist guard riveted onto the underside of the guard, the single edged blade with military GR crowned back edge with a narrow fuller for three quarters of the blade length
