Footnote
Note: For a long time there has been confusion and debate regarding the maker of items with this IM in a shaped shield punch. Originally being attributed to John Main. For many reasons, including overlapping careers and lack of concrete documentary evidence to tie makers to extant items it has now correctly been ascribed to Mitchelson.
