The baluster wooden handle carved with four bands of Celtic knotwork and flared upper section to a domed pommel, the double-edged tapered blade likely formed from a cut-down sword, the leather-covered wooden scabbard with shaped and thistle-engraved brass mounts, the simple bi-knife and fork with carved saltire set side by side in a single mount
