dark red stained wax, modelled in silhouette, set on an oval glass plate, impressed ‘James Russell, Townhead, 1795’ and ‘Tassie F’, in an oval moulded ebonised frame, with suspension loop, the portrait 7.5cm high, the frame 12cm high; together with A WILLIAM IV / EARLY VICTORIAN PORTRAIT MEDALLION OF A GENTLEMAN, JOHN FILLANS (SCOTTISH C.1817-1867), CIRCA 1835-55, white paste or wax, modelled in silhouette, set on a brown velvet backing board, incised ‘by John Fillans’, in an oval gilt slip and glazed moulded rosewood frame, the portrait 7cm high, the frame 30.5cm high (2)
