"Rich lead and silver mines were discovered on the estate of Sir Carbery Price in Wales in 1690 and Mr Waller became manager of the works. After Price's death, the mines were taken over by the Company of Mine-Adventurers which led to considerable dissension as Waller's later writings disclose." (Hoover Collection)
