hand-coloured, heightened in gum arabic, approx. dimensions 55.5 x 37cm or reverse, most with sewing-holes along one edge, toning. Comprising:
1 & 2) Calamodyta phragmitis (sedge warbler), 2 copies; 3) Calamoherpe palustris (marsh warbler), small paint-splashes lower left; 4) Calamoherpe arundinacea (reed warbler); 5) Acrocephalus turdoides (great reed warbler); 6) Sylvia curruca (lesser whitethroat); 7) Phyllopneuste trochilus (willow warbler), slightly spotted and soiled at foot; 8) Curruca atricapilla (blackcap), a couple of marks; 9 & 10) Anthus richardi (Richard's pipit), 2 copies, one chipped along sewn edge and with tape-strengthening to two corners; 11) Anthus campestris (tawny pipit); 12) Anthus pratensis (meadow pipit), slightly soiled; 13) Anthus obscurus (rock pipit); 14) Budytes cinereocapilla (grey-capped wagtail); 15) Motacilla alba (white wagtail)
