hand-coloured, heightened in gum arabic, approximate dimensions 37 x 55.5cm or reverse, toning, most with many with sewing-holes along one edge, a few spots marks, occasional ink-stamps of Newcastle-upon-Tyne public library to versos. Comprising:
1) Numenius arquata (curlew); 2) Limnocinclus pectoralis (pectoral sandpiper); 3) Pelidna cinclus (dunlin), winter plumage; 4) Pelidna cinclus (ibid.), summer plumage; 5) Totanus glareola (wood sandpiper); 6) Actitis macularius (spotted sandpiper); 7) Limosa melanura (black-tailed godwit); 8) Limosa rufa (bar-tailed godwit); 9) Totanus calidris (redshank); 10 & 11) Glottis canescens (greenshank), 2 copies; 12) Numenius phaeopus (whimbrel); 13) Totanus fuscus (spotted redshank); 14) Tringa canutus (red knot); 15) Calidris arenaria (sanderling)
