Footnote
Note: "The earliest preserved medical book printed in danish" (Rosenkilde & Ballhausen). Pedersen, like Henrik Smith, was not a trained physician and drew heavily on the work of others, including, as he tells us, Petrus Hispanus's Thesaurus pauperum and Bartholomaeus Vogter's Ain nutzlich und notwendige Artzney Büchlein. Of the thirteen recorded copies in public libraries, only six are complete.
