Footnote
Rolex watches with the serial number repeated on the inside were usually reserved for the Sea-Dweller, Military Submariner or special-order watches. Additionally, watches imported into the UK during this era were usually 9k or 18k gold, and although the bracelet is of the correct period and clearly matches the watch, the combination of a gold case and plated bracelet is unusual. The bracelet was most likely added by the retailer at point of sale.
