Footnote
The Royal Oak 4100, also known as the Royal Oak III, followed references 5402 and 8638, making it the third model in this iconic series. It was designed by Jaqueline Dimier who was head of Product Design at Audemars Piguet from 1975 to 1999. With a diameter of 35mm, it was primarily produced for clientele who wanted a smaller version of the 39mm Ref.5402 ‘Jumbo’. The Ref.4100 was the first Royal Oak to feature a centre seconds hand.
