Description
Cal.458/3B hand-wound 17 jewel movement adjusted to temperatures, silvered engine-turned dial with applied outer gold alternating numbers and star, subsidiary seconds, circular 18k yellow gold case with tear-drop lugs, case, dial and movement signed. On later 18k yellow gold unsigned bracelet.
Dimensions
Diameter 30.5mm. Approx. total bracelet only weight 48.7g.

Examples of Vacheron Constantin watches from this era with star indexes are particularly rare.
The case is stamped to the inside with Geneva Key 1 to indicate it was made by Wenger, one of the most established and prestigious Swiss casemakers. Additionally, and unusually in a circular case, the upper left lug is stamped with the last three digits of the case number (135) to the inner.
