Footnote
In 1986 Omega released a series of ‘Art Collection’ quartz watches in identical circular cases comprised of ceramic scratch resistant cases with the reverse displaying exclusive Concrete Art by famous contemporary constructivist artists, each limited to 999 examples. This was followed in 1987 by a further similar collection, including precious metal versions, by various artists, including this 40mm example by Swiss artist (1899-1972) Fritz Glarner. This project was developed by Ernest Thomke, then Omega's Managing Director using a case design by Hans Zaugg.
