Footnote
This example represents an ideal Omega collectors watch as it is one of the very last made with the reverse featuring only the Speedmaster motif, omitting the more commonly found ‘First watch worn on the Moon’ reference. It is further enhanced by a very attractive evenly aged brown ‘tropical’ dial that are only found on the 145.022 during this early transitional period when the dials were first updated to feature a printed Omega logo. A reference to the rarity of tropical/chocolate Omega Speedmaster dials can be found in the ‘Moonwatch Only' book page 110.
