Description
the first worked by Helen Inglis, in silk and wool, with reserved large family initials WIHM above another reserve of Psalm 76:12 ‘Thou shalt cut of [sic] the sprit [sic] of Princes and be terriadle [sic] to the kings of the earth'; against a field filled with a house, flowering urns, baskets, trees, crowns and coronets, flowerheads, and dogs, within a meandering flower border, in a period rosewood frame; the second of large format worked in wool and silk with a verse on friendship above a field filled with a house, flowerpots, birds, stags, garlands, urns, flowers, and a picket fence above the quotation ‘PREPARE TO MEET YOUR GOD’, within a meandering flower border, in a rosewood frame (2)
