in silk on a flax ground, the divided central reserve inscribed with a two stanza verse entitled ‘Filial Obedience’ against a field stitched with various trees, signed below and dated August the 28 1830; the lower part with a large tree flanked by fruit-filled baskets, birds, flower pots, fir trees, and stars, all within a meandering strawberry border; in a period gilt moulded frame
