Footnote
The ‘Jabberwocky’ pattern was first used at the Worcester factory circa 1768-1770, originally on fluted teawares and with turquoise glaze on the borders. The pattern is loosely based on Japanese Kakiemon decoration, and the dragon-like bird and rich foliage owes some of it's inspiration to Meissen. The pattern is also found on early 19th century dinner wares from the Chamberlain Worcester period.
