Description
the signed silvered arch dial with Gothic Roman numerals, engraved foliate spandrels, the arch with subsidiary regulatory, ‘Strike/Silent’ and ‘Chime on Eight Bells/Westminster Chimes’ dials, the large arched case with carved pediment, the front flanked by carved acanthus corbel topped canted angles, the sides with pierced grills, on a plinth base, the triple train chain fusée movement, striking the full hour to a large coiled blued steel gong, chiming the quarters to a pin wheel activated nest of eight bells, the backplate also signed ‘Barrie, Edinburgh’
