the first with a shaped top rail carved with a shell motif, acanthus and scrolled ears, above a pierced vasiform splat in the 'Chinese Chippendale' style, above a stuff-over seat flanked by scrolled open arms with scrolling terminals, raised on blind fret carved legs joined by stretchers; the second with a triple arch top rail, pierced splat, and drop-in serpentine seat flanked by scrolled open arms, on square tapered and channel moulded legs united by a stretcher (2)
