the hood with trefoil crenelations and carved oak leaf panels and crocket spire mouldings, the sides with Gothic trellis sound frets, enclosing a brass dial with a silvered Roman numeral chapter ring and gilt floral engraved mask and three winding holes, a silvered subsidiary seconds dial, and blued steel fleur-de-lis hands, with 'CHIME/ SILENT' and 'WESTMINSTER/ WHITTINGTON' levers to the outer edge, above and moulded glazed Gothic arch trunk door, on a stepped plinth base with quatrefoil details, the three train quarter-chiming movement with pull repeat, striking both Westminster and Whittington chimes to a pin wheel of eight steel chimes with an additional strike chime, stamped Harrington
