Footnote
This bracelet's pierced amorphous links have been memorably described as "dinosaur bones...[growing] organically from one another, like vertebrae...[creating] a continuous whole..." The design is remarkably innovative when compared with more traditional chains which are often composed of links connected by separate rings or hinges.
Henning Koppel's designs for Georg Jensen were a radical departure from their previous fruit and floral motifs. Koppel drew inspiration from the antigeometric vocabulary of Biomorphism and this may in part be due to the fact that he originally trained as a sculptor.
