with marks for Edinburgh 1767, maker Ker & Dempster, of cylindrical form slightly flared towards the base, silver lined with scalloped edges to the rim and foot mounts, the S-scroll handle with mounted heart-shaped kick, the body applied to the front with a Rococo cartouche with C-scroll engraved border, surmounted by a shell and scrolling banners inscribed ESSE QUAM VIDERI above a crest and the inscription: TYNE SILLER, TYNE LITTLE, TYNE FRIENDS TYNE MICKLE, TYNE HEART TYNE A'
