Note:
Giambologna made a variety of models depicting 'Venus After The Bath' including a standing version, as in the example held at The Wallace Collection, and another with her arms raised, as seen at the Victoria & Albert Museum. Antonio Susini, who worked in Giambologna's studio also made various copies of this subject. Increasingly popular from the mid 18th century, this French cast model was produced sometime in the third quarter of that century.
