the shallow bowl with planished finish and moulded rim, the sides set with medallions cast with yachts and galleons above a chased and repoussé-decorated collar set with garnet cabochon stones, on a Narwhal tusk column with castellated collar below, raised on a domed spreading base, inscribed under the base CLYDE CORINTHIAN YACHT CLUB, TARBERT RACE, WYLIE MEMORIAL CUP, 31ST JULY 1926, bears makers marks AS/GD/LD, hallmarked twice London 1925
