possibly worked by Patrick Roche, the cover centred by an enamelled rose enclosed by pierced, chased and repoussé entwined briars and the inscription GATHER YE ROSEBUDS WHILE YE MAY, the planished bowl raised on circular section stem with corresponding pierced decoration set with four further enamel roundels, on shaped spreading base, stamped marks to cover and base W.T., hallmarked Sheffield 1910
