Note: Frieda Macgillivray was the wife of the Scottish sculptor James Pittendrigh Macgillivray (1856-1938). The White Studio was his studio at 207 West Campbell Street, Glasgow, where he worked from circa 1888-1893 and where this vase was modelled.
