A collection of approximately 60 glass slides relating to the Canada Pacific Railway, c.1920's, c.8 x 8cm, showing a variety of images including trains in the Canadian Rockies, Canadian city scenes, workers in the landscape, working on the lines, The Great Divide, shipping, etc, housed in fitted wooden box, with loose tickets inserted

Note: The Canada Pacific Railway was originally founded in 1881 and 1885 (connecting with Ottawa Valley and Georgian Bay area lines built earlier), fulfilling a promise extended to British Columbia when it entered Confederation in 1871. It was Canada's first transcontinental railway.
